Intimate Wellness Treatments at SkinOvation
Intimate treatments at SkinOvation encompass a range of procedures designed to improve women's wellness. Many of our patients are postpartum or entering menopause; however, intimate treatments can be helpful for women of any age.
Our treatments are administered with the EmpowerRF platform from InMode, an internationally renowned developer of state-of-the-art light, laser and radio frequency devices.
EmpowerRF is a multifunctional platform that incorporates several technologies to treat cosmetic and functional issues related to the vagina and vulva. These safe, minimally invasive and noninvasive treatments require little to no downtime. Some require just one session, while others involve a series of treatments for best results.
VTone
VTone is an FDA-approved technology that encourages neuromuscular re-education in the vagina. This procedure rehabilitates weak pelvic floor muscles to address stress, urge and mixed urinary incontinence, and is usually recommended in conjunction with FormaV.
A VTone treatment involves inserting a small, single-use wand into the vaginal canal. This wand delivers gentle electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to exercise and strengthen your pelvic floor, delivering far greater results than Kegel exercises alone.
This treatment requires no recovery time, and you'll experience greater bladder control with a single treatment. However, a series of up to 10 sessions will help you achieve even greater control, with maximum results felt 1-2 weeks after your last treatment.
FormaV
This procedure stimulates your body's collagen production to firm up loose intimate skin. FormaV employs RF energy to gently heat both the internal and external areas and vulva. It temporarily improves blood circulation, reduces pain and relaxes tight muscles. It may also improve dryness and laxity, and reduce pain during intercourse.
FormaV requires no downtime, and results will gradually appear over 6-12 weeks. For most of our patients, we recommend undergoing three FormaV treatments scheduled 4-6 weeks apart, followed by annual maintenance sessions.
Morpheus8V
Morpheus8V is a fast and effective treatment that remodels skin and fat. The device delivers RF energy through tiny needles to heat delicate skin, causing the tissue to become firmer and tighter.
The procedure enhances the look of your intimate areas and reduces discomfort caused by loose or thinning tissue. It's also reported to increase bladder control, lubrication and sexual enjoyment.
This minimally invasive procedure is performed without general anesthesia and has long-lasting results. Most patients require just one session to see results, followed by annual maintenance treatments. Unlike many other resurfacing treatments, Morpheus8V is safe for all skin tones.
Morpheus8
This non-surgical fractional treatment combines microneedling with RF energy to remodel skin, fat and collagen. The powerful Morpheus8 device penetrates deeper than Morpheus8V due to its greater depth of penetration. It provides aesthetic and functional improvements comparable to surgery – without extensive downtime or general anesthesia.

Aviva
This powerful, minimally invasive outpatient procedure sculpts and tightens delicate tissue. It may also improve sexual function and sensitivity. Performed using local anesthetic only, this contouring solution can serve as an alternative to intimate cosmetic surgery.
Aviva combines external, skin-tightening RF energy and a cannula inserted below the skin to resculpt your intimate areas. Results are visible after 1-2 weeks and continue to develop over time. Most of our patients undergo a single Aviva treatment; this procedure can also be paired with Morpheus8 at the same appointment for even greater results.

Ask a QuestionThese treatments are ideal for women who wish to rejuvenate or enhance the aesthetics of their intimate areas. We address symptoms such as decreased sensitivity, dryness, lack of sexual pleasure, loose or stretched tissue, painful intercourse, and stress, urge, or mixed incontinence.
Many of our intimate treatments rely on RF-assisted microneedling. This technology uses tiny needles to penetrate the skin and deliver short bursts of RF heat energy. It's most commonly used as a facial treatment but can be performed elsewhere on the body as well. The combination of heat and microwounds encourages the body to produce more collagen and elastin, key proteins for skin health. As the skin heals, it will be smoother, tighter and firmer.
Our intimate treatments offer far less downtime than surgical alternatives. In fact, in the case of FormaV, you'll only need to abstain from intercourse and hot baths for 2–3 days. More involved procedures such as Aviva require up to 2 weeks for a full recovery; however, you can return to work and perform most of your usual daily activities a few days after treatment.
In addition to any instructions given to you at your initial consultation, please schedule your appointment on a date when you will not be menstruating. Ensure you have had a normal PAP smear within 1 year of the appointment. Avoid tanning beds and sun exposure for 4 weeks before the appointment. Refrain from taking aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and any supplements for 1 week prior. Avoid alcohol use for 2 days before the appointment. On the day of the appointment, fully shave your pubic hair.
