At your appointment, you'll lie down on a comfortable treatment table. Your provider will cleanse your skin and provide you with eye protection. For more aggressive treatments, they'll apply a numbing cream to prevent any discomfort.
Next, they'll pass the LaseMD Ultra handpiece over your skin for a period of 5–20 minutes. The number of passes depends on the intensity of the treatment. Your recovery time may vary from just a few hours to 1 week depending on the intensity of your treatment. Wait 24 hours before washing your face; when you do, use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser. During the healing period, diligently apply moisturizer and sunscreen every day–even if you'll be indoors–as your skin is highly susceptible to sunburn after a session. Refrain from using any exfoliating products or retinoids, and wait for your skin to completely heal before resuming your usual skin care routine.
