The Chemical Peel Advantage
Experience the transformative effects of a chemical peel, a powerful treatment designed to rejuvenate your skin by removing damaged outer layers. Chemical peels target various skin concerns, from fine lines and wrinkles to uneven tone and texture. Each session begins with a personalized consultation to select the right peel for your skin type and aesthetic goals, ensuring a tailored approach for optimal results.
Chemical peels are a safe, effective means of addressing many skin concerns, including signs of aging, acne scars and sun damage. If you are in the Asheville, Hendersonville, or Waynesville, NC, discover what chemical peels can do for your skin by scheduling a consultation with a member of our team.
Chemical peels are a class of products that exfoliate your skin through chemical reactions. They can slough off dead skin cells, reduce sebum (the oil produced by your skin), treat acne, increase skin cell turnover rate, reduce hyperpigmentation and more.
They're called chemical peels because some stronger formulations cause the outer layers of skin to peel off, a process that can take from days to weeks. Superficial or mild chemical peels cause little to no peeling and don't require downtime.
Chemical peels are ideal for individuals with sun damage, fine lines, uneven skin tone, or acne scarring. They work best for those who have realistic expectations and healthy skin free from active infections or severe conditions. Commitment to following aftercare instructions is also crucial for optimal results. Consulting a dermatologist or skincare professional can help determine if a chemical peel is right for you.
We use chemical peels to address a variety of skin concerns on the face and neck, enhancing overall skin texture and tone.
Chemical peels can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, smoothing out the skin and giving it a more youthful look.
Peels are effective in treating glabellar lines, often referred to as 11 lines. These lines can create a permanently angry or concerned appearance, but chemical peels help to soften them by promoting skin regeneration.
Chemical peels can diminish the appearance of crow's feet, the lines that form at the corners of the eyes due to smiling and eye movement, by stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture.
Bunny lines, or the creases that appear on the bridge or sides of the nose when you wrinkle it, can be smoothed out with the help of chemical peels, resulting in a more even skin surface.
Vertical lines on the upper lip, often called smoker's lines, can be reduced with chemical peels. These peels help to exfoliate the skin and encourage new cell growth, minimizing the appearance of these lines.
We offer a range of chemical peels to suit every patient and skin type. Discover skin-brightening enzyme peels, transformative deeper peels and everything in between.

treats skin with acne, sun damage and dead skin cell buildup. It blends pumpkin enzymes with salicylic acid and several antibacterial and antioxidant ingredients. This potent formula is ideal for thick, resilient skin.
Effective as both a light and medium peel, the PCA Peel with hydroquinone softens fine lines, improves acne and lightens hyperpigmentation. It contains lactic acid (14%), salicylic acid (14%), citric acid (10%) and kojic acid (3%) along with hydroquinone (2%).
The more layers your provider applies, the stronger the peel becomes, and the more noticeable your results will be.
This peel is recommended for people looking to address recurring acne, signs of aging and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) caused by acne. It requires 5–7 days of recovery.
This version of the PCA Peel omits hydroquinone, which some people cannot tolerate; it's also better suited for darker skin tones and can be safe for all skin types. This peel is otherwise formulated identically to the PCA Peel with hydroquinone, treats the same concerns (except for PIH) and involves the same recovery.
The Sensi Peel is a gentle treatment that brightens the skin, corrects hyperpigmentation and improves texture and tone. It's designed to be safe for all skin tones and sensitive skin. The Sensi Peel combines the peeling effects of 10% lactic acid and 6% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) with melanin inhibitors, acne-fighting ingredients and skin-firming vitamin C.
We recommend the Sensi Peel for adults of any age, especially those with skin sensitivity. Expect approximately 1 week of recovery time after your peel.
This powerful peel rejuvenates, smooths and tightens the skin while evening out skin tone. It chemically exfoliates the skin and also increases cell turnover rate. It's available in concentrations of 4% or 6% retinol, and contains soothing extracts, fruit oil and vitamin E.
The Pure Retinol Peel is recommended for people with normal to resilient skin in need of rejuvenation. It requires 7–10 days of recovery.
This peel rejuvenates the skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and improves skin tone. It combines lactic acid (10%) and TCA (20%) with antioxidant ingredients. It's considered a medium peel, but its strength can be determined by the number of layers applied.
The MD Peel is recommended for men and women with resilient skin. Recovery time is approximately 2 weeks.
Called the "no-peel peel," PRX-133 provides immediate aesthetic improvement with none of the downtime associated with other medium-depth peels. The patented combination of TCA, kojic acid and hydrogen peroxide penetrate deeply into the dermis without damaging the outermost layer of the skin.

Chemical peels exfoliate the skin, improving texture, tone, and overall appearance. They effectively reduce fine lines, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion.
After assessing your skin, our skilled professionals apply a chemical solution tailored to your needs. This solution is left on the skin for a specific period to exfoliate and stimulate cellular turnover.
Common side effects include temporary redness, peeling, and mild discomfort, which typically subside as the skin heals.
While initial improvements can be seen within a few days, the full effects of a chemical peel become apparent as the skin continues to renew itself over the following weeks, with optimal results usually visible after a few weeks.

Ask a QuestionChemical peels have an excellent safety profile. When administered by a qualified professional in a sterile setting, you have a minimal risk of complications. However, possible adverse side effects include infection, scarring and changes in skin color.
We'll provide you with a skin care regimen for the 2–4 weeks leading up to your treatment. During that time, you should avoid all other cosmetic procedures and excessive sun exposure. Following these steps will increase the overall effectiveness of your peel.
After your peel, it's essential to keep your skin moisturized. You may be given a specific product to apply as your face heals. During the healing period, avoid sun and heat, including hot showers and saunas, and strenuous exercise or any activity that will cause sweating. Take care not to pick at your skin as it begins to peel off, as this could cause scarring; follow all other instructions from your provider.
This answer depends on the concerns you'd like to address. People simply looking for brighter skin may undergo the occasional mild enzyme peel, while someone with deep acne scarring or loose, sagging skin might schedule PCA peels every 4–6 weeks until the desired results are achieved. Our team will help you develop a peel plan to meet your goals.
